Digesting the Issues of Life: A Metaphysical Look at the Stomach
Metaphysically
speaking, stomach issues are a sign that you may be struggling with emotional
and mental blocks. As you may be aware, behind every physical reality is a
spiritual one and if there is something going on in your life on the material
plane, there is an unseen reality that also plays a role.
Physically you
may be struggling to digest your food, may have indigestion, an ulcer, and/or
other chronic or more serious issues with the stomach. Yet, understanding the
root cause of the issues you are confronted with can help you get to a better
place and most certainly help you to bring the issues to the surface to be
addressed and healed.
If you are confronted with stomach issues, then under the surface there are emotional and mental blocks that you may want to address.
Emotional Blocks are repressed and suppressed unhealed wounds, injuries, and strong feelings from previous life experiences that have been left unresolved. And while sometimes you perhaps may have thought they were dealt with, the truth is the uneasiness with your stomach is a sign that there is something there that has been hanging around deep within that has yet to be uprooted, confronted, and eliminated. Sadness, frustration, anger, grief, disappointment are all examples of feelings people tend to repress (the unconscious pushing aside of feelings from awareness) or suppress (the conscious pushing aside of feelings from awareness). The repression and suppression of one's feelings are sometimes the cause behind low-self-esteem, blood pressure issues, anxiety, forgetfulness and memory issues, and a host of other things. And sometimes the issues come and go in varied degrees depending on what triggers are happening at a given moment. A "trigger" in this context deals with a situation or circumstance that is happening at a moment, that may be similar to something that happened in the past and a person may respond consciously or unconsciously to the issue happening in the moment as if it were the same situation that happened in the past. In essence, they respond to an issue in the present, while psychologically being in the past. The emotional response is usually a negative emotional reaction that plays out in the stomach.
Mental Blocks are repressed or suppressed painful and unwanted memories and thoughts. These mental blocks can sometimes become barriers and obstacles that stand in the way of one's ability to be creative and productive, and can also cause a lack of motivation to do anything and get things done.
So now, from an
emotional standpoint metaphysically, let's look at the situation.
FROM AN EMOTIONAL PERSPECTIVE
- Is there a situation or person that you are refusing to tolerate or "stomach?"
- Is there someone or something that you fear or are anxious about? Why?
- Are you afraid of failing in a specific area or is there someone who you are afraid of failing?
- Are you struggling with perhaps a manifestation of a failure or the fear of manifesting a failure?
- Are you resisting new ideas, and ways of looking at situations, especially those that are from others?
- Are you struggling with ideas, habits, and ways of doing things that appear to be in direct contradiction to your own way of seeing and doing things?
- Are you struggling to deal with someone who is very different from yourself and how you view the world?
- Are you constantly and continuously inwardly criticizing yourself, finding fault within yourself, and/or repeating negative self-talk? (This prevents you from Letting Go).
FROM A MENTAL PERSPECTIVE - Your stomach is communicating to you and telling you:
- Let go!
- Allow things to unfold organically and as they should.
- Stop trying to control others!
- Embrace new ideas instead of resisting them.
- Remember that you too are very powerful; therefore, discontinue wallowing in a sense of powerlessness.
- Refrain from manipulating others and situations around you.
- Use your energy to create the kind of life you desire and hope for!
Beloved, you have an awesome power within you- a power to change your life for the better. Become more aware of that power and the only way to do so is to look within. Give others the permission to the power of themselves, and have confidence that they can do the same and then some. As you grow and become more confident in who you are and what you are capable of doing you will grow to understand that your body knows what to do to heal itself and your stomach will do the job it is designed to do.
The stomach and the heart are close to one another in proximity and when you lovingly accept yourself as you are and also lovingly accept others for who they are, you will find that your stomach will calm down a bit if not all together. You will digest your food better. You will eliminate better. Your stomach will be happy to feel that you are lovingly accepting God's creation and you will grow to feel and know that all things work for our highest good.
As you go with the flow more, and learn to be more accepting of yourself and others, and become more tolerant and patient, you will find that the foods you ingest will be more tolerated by your stomach.
I trust this helps. Have an amazing Day!
